We are appealing to present and former residents of Twinville who are now abroad or living elsewhere --- who can afford to donate Php 25,000 or about US$ 550 so the Twinville Homeowners Association, Inc. (THAI) can purchase computer sets. We believe that giving diligent students who reside in Twinville access to computers and the internet will bring out the best in them and make them excel in school.
Users of these donated computer units will be restricted from using the computers for computer games, social networking (Friendster, Facebook, Multiply, etc), and online chats. Rather, we would like to encourage them into exploring new technology as a way to broaden their horizons and excel in academics.
To pledge and donate, pls. email us at ideasman@globelines.com.ph or text us at +63917-6251963.

hi!
this is great, anything that will help promote literacy is good, good, good!
how about old computers which someone who knows about computers can convert to a workstation?
and is there a chance to turn twinville into a wifi hotspot? maybe it can operate like mcdo, encrypted and only a paid subscriber can access? this can be a way to raise funds. (i must admit to an ulterior motive on this, i tried to subscribe to globe broadband but there are no open slots in the area.)
finally on the subject of literacy, since the present administration seems to have the ear of city hall, maybe someone can whisper that it should be "magbihis nang angkop" and either "sidewalks are for people" or "this sidewalk is for people".
thanks and more power! here's to high hopes for a renewed sense of community in twinville!
haha, caught several grammatical errors on my post. nakakahiya, making corrections on marikina signs then falling into the same trap. :-)
Manny Manahan knows how to repair computers. That will be good for our office while the library is not yet operational.
Just let me know when we can pick it up.
Maraming salamat po.
